Learning Begins With Us

I’m Dara, and I started Brain Academy back in 2020 when I was just 11 years old. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I noticed that many of my friends were struggling to keep up with schoolwork. Having recently gone through the 11+ exams myself, I thought, “Why not help out?” So, I began tutoring younger students online in subjects like Maths, English, Verbal, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Fast forward to now—I’m 16, and Brain Academy has grown into a place where students from Reception to Year 9 can get support in various subjects, including Science, Spanish, Latin, and even Ancient Greek! Whether it’s one-on-one sessions or group classes, I tailor each lesson to fit how each student learns best.

What makes Brain Academy special? Well, being a student myself, I understand how kids think and learn. I strive to make learning fun and engaging, so it’s not just about passing exams but also about building confidence and a love for learning.

Beyond tutoring, I’m passionate about giving back. I founded Caregirl Homeless Charity to support homeless individuals in the UK and started the Caregirl School Buddy program to help underprivileged school children in Nigeria.

When I’m not tutoring or working on my charities, I enjoy exploring Asian cultures, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and I’ve recently picked up crocheting—it’s both relaxing and rewarding!
